Mission

At Go2theNations, our mission is to be a catalytic hub that connects people and projects to make Jesus famous—personally, professionally, and purposefully. We exist to mobilize and empower individuals to live missionally, integrating faith and service through evidence-based, strengths-based, and trauma-informed practices.

Grounded in the core values of dignity, justice, and community, we believe every individual has a vital role in the Great Commission—whether through going, giving, praying, or partnering. Our work is rooted in culturally responsive approaches that honor local wisdom while addressing systemic barriers and promoting holistic well-being.

By fostering intentional connections between individuals, churches, organizations, and mission initiatives, we aim to build collaborative networks that lead to sustainable transformation. Through advocacy, discipleship, and strategic support, Go2theNations strengthens communities, uplifts marginalized voices, and cultivates leaders to bring the love of Christ into every sphere of society.

Our vision is to see a world where people are fully alive in their God-given purpose, boldly living for the glory and fame of Jesus in every sphere of influence. We envision communities restored through reconciliation, access to opportunity, and the transformative power of the Gospel.

Go2theNations is more than a name—it’s a declaration of justice, compassion, and hope. We dream of a movement where everyday disciples—equipped with tools for empowerment, healing, and advocacy—become catalysts for change. Through Spirit-led collaboration and best practices from social work, we seek to bridge gaps between resources and needs, vision and action, calling and mission.

We envision a generation of leaders who integrate spiritual care with social impact—bringing light to dark places, healing to broken systems, and hope to every nation—until the whole world knows His name.

About Me

& my story

Hi, I’m Marie A. Carter, LBSW—a licensed social worker, ministry leader, and disciple of Jesus with a heart for empowering the next generation. With a B.S. in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Master’s in Ministry Leadership from Crown College, I bring a unique blend of professional care and spiritual formation to every space I serve in. Over the past decade, I’ve worked across various sectors—from college campuses and healthcare systems to nonprofit organizations and crisis response teams. Through it all, my calling has remained the same: to walk alongside people in their most vulnerable moments, helping them find healing, purpose, and hope.

In 2024, I launched Go2theNations to respond to the deep need for holistic discipleship and empowerment—especially among young adults in post-conflict nations like Rwanda. I am currently preparing for long-term ministry in Kigali, where I’ll serve local college students and help launch a vocational training center for vulnerable youth and single mothers. This work combines my passion for trauma-informed care, leadership development, and cross-cultural discipleship.

Whether I’m advocating for students, supporting survivors, or training the next generation of leaders, I believe in transformation that lasts—transformation that begins with Jesus and extends into every corner of life.

Thanks for joining me on this journey. Let’s go—2 the nations.
